Antique Medal | Our Lady of Međugorje Pin
This gold pin depicts an image of the apparition of Our Lady of Međugorje. Surrounding Our Lady are the words “Kraljica Mira,” which mean “the Queen of Peace.” On the right side of Mary is the date “24.6.81,” or June 24,1981 (the date of Mary’s first apparition in Međugorje).
The back of the medal is blank except for a pin.
History
On June 24, 1981, Mary appeared to six visionaries between the ages of 12 and 20 on Mount Crnica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The apparitions continued until the third of July. Over the next few decades, church officials issued an investigation to prove or deny the credibility of Our Lady’s presence. On January 17, 2014, the committee on Međugorje, presided over by Cardinal Camillo Ruini, recognized the supernatural nature of the apparitions.
