Infant of Prague Novena Prayer Card | Blue
This prayer card includes the traditional Infant of Prague Novena Prayer, whose intercession is often asked for urgent needs, miracles, newborns and especially for help when facing financial difficulties.
About the Design:
The artwork on the front of the card is of the Infant of Prague, a wax statue of the Child Jesus given to a Carmelite monastery in Prague in the mid-17th century. After being lost during war, it was found in the ruins of the monastery. A devout priest, Fr. Cyril, heard through prayer to have the broken hands of the statue repaired. After multiple occasions where money was miraculously received to repair it, only to be directed to other expenditures, the statue was finally repaired, with its own chapel dedicated on the feast of the Holy Name of Jesus in 1644.
The back of the card has the traditional Infant of Prague Novena Prayer, with an image of a globus cruciger which he holds, representing Christ’s dominion over the world.Â
